Our Staff

The team of staff at HGP includes several members exceeding 10 years of service at our centre. We have beyond the D.O.C.S required amount of staff each day and well beyond the required amount of qualified staff.
Four of our staff have University qualifications, 2 have Diplomas from TAFE (or equivalent) and several have over 15 years experience working in child care. We are also fortunate to have on staff an Early Childhood Teacher with a Post Graduate Certificate in Special Needs.

All of Highland Grove’s staff place a high emphasis on meeting the individual needs of each and every child in their care. The staff warmly and actively support the child’s extended family, believing HGP provides an extension of the child’s early learning experiences. The staff’s role is to provide the setting, the guidance and the experience which will promote optimum development of each child.

The staff’s extensive body of experience ensures each child a smooth and individual transition into our preschool setting. The experience and qualifications of our unique team is also reflected in each room’s inviting and interactive daily program.

The opportunities offered to each child through our extra numbers of staff on each room can easily be seen by our settled and constructive playrooms. It is a frequent occurrence to see many small groups of children happily engaged in games, stories, music, role play or arts and crafts activities with one of their teachers.
