Moonbeam Room

Our Moonbeam Room is a large airy room with a delightful “Rainbow Room” attached through clear glass doors. The room has a productive, social atmosphere with 4 to 5 year olds actively constructing, creating, listening and learning.

The “Moonbeam” day includes a combination of free play sessions and several structured group times each day. In this friendly and supportive setting the children develop their concentration and listening abilities, group work skills and a keen interest in learning.

The Moonbeam staff use the “Rainbow Room” daily to participate with smaller groups of children in educational games, stories and activities, enabling the staff to remain up to date in their knowledge of each child’s interests and development.

The year before school is a wonderful time to explore numbers, shapes and the sounds in words. The Moonbeam Room staff encourage early literacy, numeracy and skills in preparation for a smooth transition to school.
